Labor of Love
By:  Mrs. Ed (Janice) Maynor

Help me, Lord, to always labor for the Master of my soul.

May my soul be always kindled with a burning desire for Thee.

Might my lips forever praise Thee, may my heart always confess;

You alone are Master, Savior, You deserve the very best.

Here on earth we sometimes waiver, fleeting moments of failed tests.

Praise the Lord of all creation; He withstood the hardest yet.

For my soul He did labor providing me His very best.

There is no way to repay Him the debt I owe is far too great.

With a humble heart I receive His favor. I accept the gift of love He gave.

He gave all to free my soul from the grip of sin and death.

Now the chains that once enslaved me fall away as the sands of time.

I no longer labor for the former master of my mind.

I was bought with a great price for the sole purpose of being set free.

In my freedom - my heart turns to seek The One who set me free.

No longer bound by chains of darkness, no longer hidden from The Light;

I search for Him with eyes wide open, feet free to run towards THE LIGHT.

A new Master, Savior I choose with a heart full of love and gratitude.

Now I labor for the Master out of a heart of love for Him.

Am I laboring to repay Him?

Nay - I am laboring to express my love.
